Who processes the data

What data we process

Identity and contact details (name, phone, email, messengers), a seafarer's professional profile (rank, experience by vessel type, certificates, availability, salary expectations), and visa status.

Source of the data

Some profiles are built from CVs publicly posted on the maritime industry resource ukrcrewing, where seafarers publish CVs to find work. Other data you provide yourself when registering or talking to an agency.

Purposes and legal basis

The purpose is recruitment intermediation — surfacing relevant candidates to agencies and vice versa. The basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a maritime staffing marketplace; for some operations (e.g. AI analysis of uploaded documents) we rely on your consent.

Who we share with

Your profile is visible to vetted crewing agencies on the platform for recruitment. We do not sell data or share it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

A profile is kept while it remains relevant for recruitment. If it stops being updated at the source it is marked inactive, and after a longer period it is anonymised.

Your rights

You may request access (art. 15), rectification (art. 16), erasure (art. 17), restriction (art. 18), and you may object to processing and profiling (art. 21).

To exercise these rights or to opt out of being shown to agencies and of any outreach, contact info@signon.pro or @signon_pro_bot. After an objection the profile is excluded from sourcing and outbound messages, and on request it is deleted. You can also hide your profile via the "🗑 Delete profile" button in the Telegram bot.

We apply technical and organisational safeguards. This policy may be updated; the current version is always available on this page.
